Dyslexia Pathways CiC three years in business and still going strong

Its been three years since I founded Dyslexia Pathways and we are still here. It has been a great year for Dyslexia Pathways CiC. We have supported more students than we did last year. We have provided free advice and guidance to more people than last year. We have used Facebook and our website to spread the message of the positive aspects of dyslexia. But we are not sitting back on our laurels. We will be pushing to develop our project ideas, raising the profile of being positive about dyslexia with the scottish government and continue as a successful community interest company.

hi hi once again

Yes yes I know I have not blogged for ages. I think I just got bored with not being read lol. Things are going well for me in general. My social enterprise Dyslexia Pathways passed another milestone this week. We have had more dyslexia support appointments than last year so the university business is going well. I think we will probably end up with around 50 to 60 more appointments than last year. We have also had a lot more phone and internet requests for advice and guidance than last year.

I now have to put together a new business plan and get out there to look for sources of funding for a few ideas I have. I have 4 or 5 possible funders to apply to. I will have to go and speak to a local MSP regarding one of them. She offered support in my last meeting with her. The first thing I need to do is put together a timeline then get my company accounts into order.

Got another meeting with the Goodison Group soon but I am not sure if I will be able to make it because of work committments.

It would be nice to get others on my board who can offer some support with the development and funding search. I have been sayng this for a long time but I have kept on prevaricating this idea. I think because Dyslexia Pathways is my baby so to speak.
