Rhiannon talks about her experiences of dyslexia in education

Unique Dyslexia Logo

Hi blog readers hope you are all well

Here is a recording of an interview I did with Rhiannon who is dyslexic and currently in her first year of university.

After achieving her degree she wants to be an entrepreneur.

Interview with Rhiannon

If you listed to her recording here is a classic case of society disabling also enabling.

What are your experiences of society disabling or enabling you as a dyslexic in education.

Right now I am in the process of planning a series of three one hour broadcasts for my radio show Unique Dyslexic BOOM!

New dyslexia radio show series on its way

Photo from our Unique Dyslexic Get Creative Exhibition

Hi blog readers and followers, hope you are all feeling fab

When my organization Dyslexia Pathways CIC ran our Unique Dyslexic Get Creative work shops most of those who attended said they had never knowingly sat in a room with or talked with other dyslexics.

Many of us can also feel isolated and like an enigma to ourselves let alone to society.

As part of a social media course I am going to be recording three one hour radio shows on dyslexia and our experiences of being dyslexic. I am not certain about the topics to be covered. I may look at dyslexia and creativity.

I am thinking about applying to Crowdfund Fife to see if I can attract some funding for my dyslexia and neuro diversity podcasting and radio show idea. Many dyslexics feel isolated and can find it difficult to meet with and give or find support from other dyslexics.

I am looking at this idea because I think this would be a more inclusive way to talk about dyslexia and neuro diversity.

Many thanks for reading, please leave a comment and share if you would like to.

My latest dyslexia and inclusion blog

#PeaceLoveGroovyness

Hi blog readers hope you are well

Some of you remember I a on a new HND course to develop my social media and radio broadcasting skills.

I do a lot of my dyslexia work through social media, some paid but most of it is not. I am currently using Twitter,, Linked in Soundcloud, Blogger and a few others. We also have our Dyslexia Pathways CIC and Unique Dyslexic Facebook pages and our online shop.

I used to host dyslexic musicians on my Soundcloud page. I also use it to host my vlogs and podcasts.

As part of my course I am writing and presenting a dyslexia focused radio program called Unique Dyslexic BOOM! I am hoping to set up a new dyslexia / neuro diversity focused radio station.

My dyslexia has had over a quarter of a million reads including a few dyslexia Vlogs and now podcasting. I'd really like to take the podcasting further but like everything it costs money and needs hardware and software.

I have been funding all this myself for around 10 years now. It is a constant battle. Indeed, I am only just managing to keep our Unique Dyslexic site up and running.

So now I am looking for people who would like to sponsor or donate money to use to help with the cost of all this. If not money possibly hardware and software to created, record and edit podcasts? Even ideas of organisations I could contact for help with this would be fab

I really don't like to ask but sometimes needs must where the devil drives I think is the old saying lol.

Anyways #PeaceLoveGroovyness to you all
