Dyslexia Pathways CIC tee shirt logo design competition

Good morning blog readers hope you are all well

Just a short blog today regarding our new Dyslexia Pathways CIC logo design competition which opened last week.

My regular readers will know that we at Dyslexia Pathways CIC advocate for the social model of dyslexia, that we have a very positive dyslexia message. This being #dyslexia is a difference that reflects #diversity.

We also promote the idea of neuro diversity and believe neuro diversity is as important as biodiversity.

We recently ran a Unique Dyslexic crowd funding appeal to raise money to help us design our own series of tee shirt logos to enable dyslexics themselves to advocate for our more positive message for them selves. We currently have four or five designs ready to go on sale in the very near future.

We are hoping we can raise money for our organisation and the work we do. Last year alone we supported 50 people at our Unique Dyslexic workshops, we ran the first Unique Dyslexia Celebration of Creativity, supported over 40 university students and supported many dyslexics across the world through our social media. We have just under 650 Facebook likes alone.

As for the competition itself:

As part of our Unique Dyslexic Campaign Dyslexia Pathways CIC is running a competition for young people 16 years of age or younger

It  will run until November 20th 2015

The aim is for the young person to  design a dyslexia positive logo for a tee shirt. They don't  have to be a great artist to get involved Dyslexia Pathways and our  Unique Dyslexic Campaign) we want to see their  ideas, that is the important part.

The tee shirt logo can only be a maximum of three colours (more colours = more printing costs)

The winner will be chosen by followers of Dyslexia Pathways CIC and Unique Dyslexic Campaign social media

A Facebook page and Pinterest page will be set up where the work sent in will be exhibited to allow for voting.

All the young person  needs to do is send in a photo or a graphic file with their  design on it together with their name and age to steve_mccue@hotmail.com

The prize will be the first  tee shirt which is printed with the winners  logo on it. Dyslexia Pathways (or Unique Dyslexic Get Creative) hope to be able to add another small prize along with this.

Please can any blog readers share this across their own social media.

Below are some of the designs we have done so far. These will be on sale soon. Please give us any feedback or let us know if you would be interested in buying one of our tee shirts or supporting our work through a cash donation or as a volunteer

This is no longer running

Many thanks for taking the time to read my blog
