We as a community have to change the narrative. If we do not we will forever be trapped behind a negative disability charity model of dyslexia. This model has nothing positive to say to dyslexics and about dyslexia. 

We simply cannot allow our dyslexia unfriendly education system to continue to fail our children.

That's the reason I started my social enterprise Dyslexia Pathways CIC. We put together the social model of dyslexia with social enterprise to offer the dyslexic community a more positive and inclusive alternative. Here is a podcast about it:
