Hi de hi campers lol

The hardest thing about writing a blog is finding a title........you can see from todays title how desperate I was lol. It might make some sense to some blog readers in the UK. Not sure about anywhere else. So here is a clue lol

I have been working hard on the new Unique Dyslexic web site populating it with images, text, music etc. Its a slow business sending it all off to the web developer, waiting for them to add it to the site and them reviewing it. Can't wait for the training that comes with this web site. Toolkit will provide training for myself and two directors.

Toolkit are also setting up a Unique Dyslexic facebook page for us as well. Our current Facebook page is for a group and is quite time consuming to administrate.

A Groups provides a closed space for small groups of people to communicate about shared interests. Groups can be created by anyone. Pages allow real organizations, businesses, celebrities and brands to communicate broadly with people who like them. Pages may only be created and managed by official representatives.

A Facebook page is the best option if you want to promote your business / project on Facebook. The reasons for this is that they include lots of customisation features so you can create special landing pages, newsletter sign up options, discount coupons, shopping carts and run competitions directly from Facebook, they are indexed in search engines like Google and anyone can ‘Like’ your page and invitation requests are not needed to be authorised which means less admin for you and more reach and visibility again.

Have to say the web site didn't come cheap but it was well worth the price and Toolkint have been very helpful. Stage one of Unique Dyslexic Get Creative web site is nearly done and it will soon be time to move onto stage 2.

Tomorrow I have two meetings. In the morning I have a meeting with a representative from Interface. Interface provides a central point of access to the expertise available in Scotland's Higher Education and Research Institutions. Interface will help your business by matching you to the right academic expertise.

In the afternoon I am meeting with the people who are going to run the music workshop for Unique Dyslexic Get Creative. Should have a good idea what is going to happen. So we can start putting together the promotional material for all three workshops.

I have been exploring possible funders to see it we can get a small amount of funding to develop the Unique Dyslexic t shirts. I think we have £200 available from the lottery funding to get around 35 printed up. We would like to hold a little graduation ceremony at the end of Unique Dyslexic Get Creative and the t shirts will be given to all those who took part.
